With no scheduled activities today, you have complete freedom to ease into the city gently, whether by sampling Georgian cuisine, admiring the mix of old and new architecture, or enjoying a sunset stroll along the Mtkvari River. Begin your day with an 8.30 AM meeting at Avlabari Metro Station before departing Tbilisi for a full day exploration of Kakheti, Georgia’s renowned wine region. Rich in history, tradition, and landscapes, Kakheti offers the perfect blend of culture and culinary discovery. Your first stop is the village of Badiauri, where you will visit a traditional bakery to taste freshly baked Georgian bread and local cheeses, a delicious introduction to the region’s flavours. Continue to Bodbe Monastery, an important spiritual site dedicated to Saint Nino, whose role in converting Georgia to Christianity makes the location deeply significant. Enjoy peaceful surroundings and sweeping views across the Alazani Valley. From here, travel to Sighnaghi, the romantic hilltop “City of Love.” Take a guided walk through its charming streets and along sections of the “Great Wall of Georgia,” followed by free time for lunch overlooking the valley.
